Koga Michiyo (久我通世)

Michiyo KOGA (1583 - 1615) a Kugyo (court noble) during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. His father was Atsumichi KOGA. His older brother was Michisaki KOGA. His child was Suemichi UMETANI.

He served Emperor Goyozei and his official rank was raised to Jushiinoge (Junior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade) Sakone no chujo (Middle Captain of the Left Division of Inner Palace Guards). However, in 1599, he incurred chokkan (the emperor's censure) for a scandal that included his father Atsumichi and son Michiyo and a court lady, then he and his father were expelled from Kyoto. He had never been heard of since, but the Koga family itself continued in an unbroken line through his older brother's descendants.
